Churton is delighted to introduce Warren as our Vineyard Manager. Warren comes to Churton with vast experience of the wide world and dangers of leading expeditions into the interiors of Asia and Africa. Warren has now returned to New Zealand and has decided to move back to the land – he grew up on the dairy farms of the Waikato. Warren is guiding the Churton vineyard in the Waihopai Valley through organic conversion with Biogro. He is leading our vineyard team through the biodynamic practices and activities that we undertake in our vineyard management. Warren is married to Clare and has two young boys. The Team

The Churton vineyard team consists of a small “handpicked bunch” of workers that includes both local and overseas people. The crew standing are Mandy, Andrea, Warren, Federico, Sam, Maryanne, Kevin and Jack and in front are Joao, Natasha and Daniela. Keeping an eye on everyone is Pip the vineyard dog. Everyone is involved in all tasks from training the young vines to mulching the older prunings, from mixing the biodynamic preparations in our barrels to building the compost. The Team
